My Story

 

I grew up in a small village in Southern Illinois called Vergennes. Population: 300. I started singing solos when I was four years old during my time at private school. My love for theatre began when I was 10 and saw a production of Cats near my home town. I had never seen anything like it. The craft intrigued me and ignited a flame within me. I knew I had to get up on that stage. My parents saw my interest and decided to move our family to a town with a fine arts program.

I moved to Carterville, Illinois at the beginning of eighth grade. From age 12, I was a part of nearly 40 productions between school, community, college and professional summer stock shows. Some of my favorite roles I have portrayed include the “Cowardly Lion” in The Wizard of Oz, “Shrek” in Shrek: The Musical, “Buck” in Bonnie and Clyde and “Quasimodo” in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

After completing my BFA in Musical Theatre, I embarked on the National Tour of CHICAGO (25th Anniversary) in 2022. I've performed in dozens of states, and eventually entertained audiences in South Korea on the International Tour of the production.

My Mission: Inspire people to find, love, and accept their true self and make a difference with their passions. I will never forget freezing in the audience of a standing ovation at the end of a Broadway show. I looked out into the audience around me. I saw people cheering, crying and laughing because of the art they had seen. I burst into tears thinking about how people’s lives are changed by this craft. I realized that this is where I am meant to be and I hope to encourage others to be the truest and happiest version of themselves.
